Blue Hippo is an installment credit company. Blue Hippo was founded by Joseph Rensin. The company focuses on customers with bad credit record. Blue Hippo sells a diverse range of different high-tech items including desktop personal computers, laptops, LCD televisions, and many other things in credit. The company sells its products through various installment plans that give the customers possibility to not to pay a lump sum.

Though the initial idea to help people in financial troubles to own their own computers, in 2007 Blue Hippo was rated "unsatisfactory" by Maryland Better Business Bureau and a consumer alert was issued against the company.
